Aubrey Dugger

Dr. Aubrey Dugger is a hydrologist in the Research Applications Lab at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. As part of the development team for the WRF-Hydro Community Model and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Water Model, Aubrey has served leadership roles in hydrologic process model development, multivariate model evaluation, and parameter estimation and regionalization. Her research interests focus on understanding disturbance impacts on downstream water systems, including the use of remote sensing in landscape-characteristic assessment. Aubrey has worked for nearly a decade in urban stormwater planning, helping quantify regional- and distributed-scale management impacts on water quantity and quality. In addition to WRF-Hydro, she also develops within the Regional Hydro-Ecologic Simulation System (RHESSys) a coupled eco-hydrologic model designed to simulate linked water, energy, and nutrient fluxes. Aubrey has experience working in high-performance computing and operational environments. In addition to her scientific and technical work, she has over 15 years of project management experience. Aubrey served on SESYNC’s Scientific Review Committee.
