Jill Gallagher

Science Writer and Educator

Jill Gallagher assists the communications team in formatting, designing, and transforming SESYNC learning and research materials into web-based and print resources, including explanatory documents such as tutorials, guides, and lessons; graphics; brochures, and more. She also works on editing and updating videos, including finding and creating visual content. In addition, she helps SESYNC staff with reviewing, packaging, posting, and updating website content and also posts to SESYNC’s social media accounts.

Prior to joining SESYNC, Jill was an editorial/graphic design freelancer, providing a range of editorial and design services to clients. She also worked as a graphic designer at the Wild Bird Centers of America; an editor of a quarterly newsletter for broadcast professionals—NABET News; a writer and graphic designer at the International Center for Journalists; and as a public relations practitioner at the Service Employees International Union and the Association of Flight Attendants. She also volunteers graphic and editorial services to school publications and fundraisers and community organizations/initiatives. Jill is a graduate of the University of Florida, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
