Abstract
Environmental Policy Immersion Program
SESYNC is hosting a 3-day Environmental Policy Immersion Program for post-doctoral researchers in fields pertinent to socio-environmental research. The program includes a basic grounding in public policy issues, institutions, and approaches to collaboration between scientists and decision makers. It includes a diverse set of speakers with deep practical knowledge of how science can matter to public discourse and decisions. Participants will gain insights into how science is deployed, interpreted, and influenced by NGO, government, private sector, and other "knowledge users."
