Elise A. Larsen

Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr. Elise Larsen is currently a researcher in the Ries Lab of Butterfly Informatics at Georgetown University, where she develops robust methodology for phenology and abundance modeling of Lepidoptera using community [citizen] science programs, including survey and incidental data. After completing her PhD at the University of Maryland in 2013, Elise was a postdoctoral researcher at SESYNC studying butterfly phenology, life span, and color quantification until 2016. Previously, Elise worked in bird conservation at The American Bird Conservancy and studied avian community ecology in graduate school.
